The Balanced View Training
is the way to really completely get a new experience of what we are as humans,
a new way to experience reality.
And what we call data is everything that we can experience,
just to make it simple.
So, it's thoughts, feelings, all the sensations in the body,
everything that we with our really extremely fantastic body can experience:
sounds, whatever we can see.
We are really a great construction.
And we're calling everything data.
We don't value that something is more important than something else.
And we have trained ourselves
in focusing only on our experiences,
and also to identify ourselves with them.
And most of us believe that we are a closed system
separated from other people, separated from other things,
mostly limited by our bodyline.
And that is what we normally call reality.
But if we just think of everybody of us here now in this room and on the live stream,
what is going on for all of us in just one frozen moment?
It's so different.
You know we have somebody maybe thinking of something completely different
than being here.
Somebody has bodily sensations.
Somebody listening.
Somebody sleeping.
Somebody feeling very happy and relaxed. Somebody feeling very tense.
And, you know, all these different experiences
at exactly the same time,
each one, if we just experience the data completely in our own universe.
But then there is something that unites us all and that is the knowing— that what knows.
And we call that open intelligence.
So, there is an intelligence that is impossible to divide.
And what we call “data” is appearing in, as and through this open space
in the same way that rainbows appearing in the sky,
impossible to separate from the space around.
And when it's resolving, it's not leaving any trace.
And this open space that is our basic space, basic ground, was always there.
It's impossible to not be part of that.
So, what we do in the training is just allowing the recognition
of something that was always there and is always available.
Just that we have trained ourselves to emphasize what we call data.
So, the introduction is to simply stop thinking for a moment,
just relax mind and body completely.
And you can do that now, just drop everything,
stop thinking for a moment.
And what's there then, is an openness, an alert knowing,
completely ready to receive the next experience no matter what it is.
Because this stop thinking is not the state that we need to have for a long time or
to keep because it's impossible.
So, if we stop thinking for a short moment, very fast in the beginning,
there will be a new thought, a new feeling, a new sensation coming in.
That's completely fine.
We just recognize, allow the recognition through this relaxation of that what is experiencing;
that in us that's always available, always untouched.
And because it's never changing, it's complete stability.
And we know how it is with trying to control emotions and thoughts. It's impossible.
We never know what the next datum will be.
And we never know if it will be something that we like,
like a positive experience or a negative or completely neutral that we don't even notice.
And what's similar with all data is that they are appearing for us one at a time.
And that's something that we normally don't think about.
So, when we start to take the short moments
and relax the body and mind, when we naturally remember to do so,
we have this instinctive experience of whatever is going on for us in that moment when we relax
is resolving by itself.
And also the new data that is coming
is coming without us doing anything.
So, we learn to know ourselves in a new way,
how we function and how the mind function.
And we open up for the experience of another mind, vivid, limitless mind.
And that what we call open intelligence is pure energy and this energy is always of benefit.
So, we don't have any other instructions or practices in Balanced View,
only this one simple instruction.
And then we repeat that when we naturally remember to do so—in all circumstances.
We don't need to be quiet or be in a special place or feel in any special way.
We can do it just everywhere:
when we have a very quiet mind and when we are completely stressed out,
when we are happy, when we are sad,
when we are alone or when we are busy and having a lot of people around.
Every circumstance is perfect.
And that is so practical, so we can just allow this to be a part of our everyday life.
And exactly these things that we thought was a problem for us,
some special thoughts or feelings,
more and more start to be friends as they remind us about the choice that we have
to allow what's going on to just be as it is and self-resolve
and allow us to acknowledge this open stable space that's always available.
And for me when I started with the Training
I never remembered to take short moments when I was happy.
I just didn't even want to do that. I just enjoyed.
But then the negative states: so perfect as a reminder.
So, it's not that we need to start to like negative states or want to have them.
More and more they are the friends that remind us that we have a choice,
that we can take this short moment and allow whatever is going on to self-resolve.
And this is very naturally just growing. And with the Four Mainstays
it's not so that to be part of the community need to look in just one special way.
We are already all part of the community.
And when I came to the Training it was really new.
Like here in Sweden, we didn't have any community at all in the beginning.
But it's so beautiful to see how it grows and how we all can be inspired with others
and that don't mean that we need to see each other face-to-face all the time.
It can be that we call in to a Clarity Call or
we can go to open meeting like now or we can go to an open meeting from home in Second Life.
We have many opportunities to be part of the community.
There are people in the world that have never seen anyone in the community live
and are completely involved.
So, that's such a beautiful opportunity that we have in this time
where we are living now that we can use the technology
and really be connected with each other all over the world,
no matter where we live
and no matter our circumstances like family or work.
And more and more when we recognize this basic space of open intelligence
we also allow for the instinctive experience that we are not separated as this basis;
indivisible, we are all one.
So, all this fear about not being loved, not being in leadership,
mostly when we try to control or
have fear of not being of benefit or have fear of people not liking us.
It's really so natural to have these different feelings.
But more and more, when we allow for all these feelings to just be there,
they are the greatest help to tap into this stability and knowing how to act in each here-and-now
to be of most benefit.
So, exactly that what we think is making us not a good leader, this fear and other emotions,
are the key to your power when you just allow them to be.
So, we are so used to make things complicated.
To think that life is hard and we need to work a lot to count to something
and this is completely the opposite.
By relaxing we tap into our power, into wisdom, stability and life satisfaction
pure love.
Everything that I was looking for my whole life was already there,
is already there for everyone.
Just have to train up the recognition of that and get used to it.
It's a lot about that, to just get used to it.
And even if it's in one way so simple, more simple than simple,
who would not like to relax?
And in that way have all the power and still it's so hard in the beginning,
because we have trained so much in
emphasizing, describing, trying to understand what's going on with us, analyze it,
going to stories about it, repeat it,
thinking about what I did wrong, what somebody else did wrong,
fantasies about future or, you know, all these things.
And it can be also descriptions of emotions, descriptions of body sensations,
descriptions of other things.
And the second strategy to try to avoid,
to not want to feel like this, to not want to have these thoughts
and using different ways to avoid.
Or the third: to replace.
And these things we trained since we are so small that they get so normal and automatic
that we just do it without even noticing it and without knowing
that we have a choice to live in another way.
So, what we do is the fourth way and that is to clarify what's going on,
to see what's really there,
to allow the recognition of the essence of all experiences.
