All right. My name's Chris Badgett and in this video we're going to talk about how to
make a good introductory video for your online course. And the best way to do that is look
at successful examples that already exist on Udemy. And your introductory video is so
important because it's the portal to your content that people are going to see before
they make a buying decision on wether or not they're going to invest in your course. So
a good way to get ready to write your introductory video is to head on over to Udemy and check
out courses you like and videos that resonate with you and try and break down elements of
those videos that make for a powerful sales pitch and think about the reasons why you
like them. Another thing you can do is click on this top paid menu item and these courses
have lots of students. So this one here on android development has over a thousand students
with a ticket price of ninety nine dollars so that's essentially this course has generated
ninety nine thousand dollars worth of revenue. So the introductory video right here is worth
watching and seeing the elements that make this such a powerful video to get one thousand
one hundred and two users into the program. And one thing you can do when you look at
these top paid courses is take a look at the industries or general niches in which your
course will be in. So here's one more along the lines of personal development. So if we
click on that we can see that this course has two hundred and twenty seven users and
this video would be worth a watch. All right so that's how you can use Udemy to get some
guidance and some inspiration for creating your introductory video for your online course.
