Hey everybody, this is Kristin Booker,
I'm with FashionStyleBeauty.com and I am here to teach you
how to get "desk to dinner" ready
in under 15 minutes flat with just a few simple products.
Now the thing is, you always have these
amazing opportunities that come up.
You have a dinner reservation that just pops open,
or your best friend's birthday and you totally forgot to do it.
Or you have this amazing dinner opportunity with the boss,
or something, and you're thinking to yourself,
"Okay, I'm in the same makeup that I was earlier,
and I'm not exactly sure I'm going to be cute to go out
for cocktails, or a date, or dinner, whatever."
So, here's how you're going to do it.
You're gonna keep these essentials at your desk.
The first thing you're going to do is you're going to keep
a really good, lightweight tinted moisturizer,
or natural foundation.
I am a huge fan of this product simply because of the fact that
it's lightweight coverage, you can put it on over makeup
you already have and it will give you
a really beautiful, flawless finish.
Basically what you are gonna do is add just a little bit
to the fingers -- a dot, warm it up.
Basically work it in wherever you would need coverage.
For me it's kind of under the eyes and around the forehead.
So, you're going to totally take care of that.
Second product you're going to need is a great luminizer.
I'm a huge fan of luminizers, they add really great luster
and shine to the skin without making it look shiny,
so not shiny.
And they add coverage where you need it.
So, here's the great trick, you put it under the eyes, as so.
You put one good stripe down the nose
and around the marionette lines.
You use your ring fingers to blend,
try not to pull on your eyes, just because eventually,
like anything else, if you pull on it long enough
it's going to start to give.
When you work, I'm doing this for time;
normally you would pat it in until it goes away.
But, a luminizer does this amazing thing under the eyes
where it makes your eyes look really pretty and bright.
If you have flash photography it will keep you from looking
haggard, or your eyes looking sallow underneath.
If you put a stripe down your nose,
it can actually make your nose look a little smaller.
I have a tiny nose to begin with,
but it actually looks really good in pictures.
Okay, the next trick, well obviously... let me back up...
a great lengthening mascara, volume is awesome,
lengthening is great for day, volume is good for night.
I already have a volumizing mascara on;
I already have LashBlast on my eyelashes.
So, I'm just going to use LashBlast Length
to add a little length toward the end
just for a little added punch,
which is perfect for "look at me" lashes.
I don't really put any on the bottom;
I'm kind of an old school girl that way.
If you like the celebrity, big red carpet lash
for a certain event, I would tell you to take the brush,
turn it on its side,
and pull down this way to get defined lashes.
Really great trick.
Your next trick from me, and I do lashes before mascara,
or lashes before eye shadow, so I'm just different that way.
I love the Shadow Blast stick,
I love this thing, you can get ready so quickly.
I'm going to do a really quick nude, smoky eye.
You put, step one, which is the lighter champagne color
over the orb of the eye.
You use the pointed tip along the line of the eye,
and then into the crease.
And use your ring finger to blend.
The reason you use your ring finger is because
it's the least, it's not as strong as your other fingers,
which means that you're not really in danger of pulling,
like you would with other fingers
that are a little stronger, so it's a little easier on
the delicate skin around your eye.
You want to blend that in really quickly.
Perfect.
And then the next trick is my all time favorite.
You can actually use a good lipstick;
I'm a huge fan of pinks and reds, which most people are.
But, I like good,
this looks a little bright if you're looking at it,
but it's really not as bright as you think it is,
it's actually pretty easy.
You put one good swipe across the cheeks and blend,
and now you have blush.
It's a perfect thing and I'm a huge fan of
the CoverGirl lipsticks because they're soft
and they stay put, and they're very hydrating.
I'm a huge fan, which means you can also use it as blush
in a pinch at your desk.
A little lipstick, something that I did before this,
which you may want to do if you really have a long night of
cocktails and you need your lipstick to last.
I would add Outlast Lip Stain underneath it,
because if you put the stain underneath it by the time
the lipstick wears down, which will take awhile
with CoverGirl lipstick because it's amazing.
You'll actually get to the stain,
which means you'll still have lip color underneath the actual
lipstick and it gives it really great staying power.
I am a huge proponent of keeping
perfume in your desk at all times.
I'm a huge Diptyque fanatic, so this is Tam Dao,
which is one of my favorite fragrances.
Really kind of a spicy, oriental kind of a woodsy fragrance.
If you care for something a little lighter you can keep
even smaller portions at your desk, but it's a good idea
to keep perfume at your desk, it just is.
Your other additions -- a hair tie.
You're going to want to make sure that you have
polished hair; sometimes a ponytail is
prettier than anything else.
I love to keep headbands at my desk,
because there's just something so classy
and so pretty about a headband.
I also keep, at all times, evening earrings.
You can get these anywhere, these are actually from
"Forever 21" believe it or not, and they're spectacular.
If I can get my earring to go in my ear...
It's going to be such a fun evening, I'm so excited.
So, you basically throw your earrings on, and you're done.
Oh, and always keep heels at your desk as well,
'cause you always need really cute shoes.
So, that's it, really simple products,
now you're "desk to dinner" ready in under 15 minutes flat.
So, have a lovely evening.
