Hello, I am David from Geek This
Today we are going to fix the "White Page of Death"
That happens in WordPress usually after doing an update.
First navigate to your WordPress Administration Page.
If you don't know how, it is your domain name / wp-admin
Now that you are hopefully in your Administration Panel
Go to your "Plugins" Tab
You should deactivate all of the installed plugins
Once they are all deactivated, go to your website and see if the white page is gone.
If it is, we know that the issue lies in one of those plugins we just disabled
If the issue still persists, please click the notation to skip ahead in the video
Lets navigate back to the "Plugins List", and one by one
Click Activate, Navigate to your website, and see if the white page starts back up
Once you find the plugin that is causing the issue, find out if you really need that plugin
or not.
May sound like an odd question, but a lot of the time people forget to uninstall
plugins they no longer use.
If you don't need it, uninstall it and the problem is fixed.
If you do need the plugin, check to see if an update is available.
If there is one, backup your WordPress installation and Update
If you still have the issue, you are going to have to go to Support Forums for that plugin.
Most likely another person has this issue, and the developer should be working on a fix.
If the plugin method didn't fix the "White Screen of Death"
Go to your "Themes" with all the plugins disabled, and activate a different theme.
If your site works now, the issue was in the theme that you were using.
Check to see if an update is available for the theme. If there is one
I suggest backing up your WordPress installation and updating.
And for anyone that still has the "White Page of Death" after checking
all the plugins and themes, you are going to need to re-install WordPress
Download the same version of WordPress you previously had.
Overwrite all the files, except wp-config.php
Now you should have WordPress working again, with all your themes, plugins and data.
