So we're here at the Engineering Major Fair this is an event that we have for exploring
engineering majors and beyond. So we have representatives students and advisors from
all the different programs in engineering as well as some engineering related areas
like business, math, and university exploration. So it's a chance for students to come to one
place and learn about a lot of different interests that they have, and find the next steps
moving forward.
The Engineering [Major] Fair has gone really well. I've had a chance to talk to probably
50 or 60 students interested in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. A lot of them have
a lot of questions about careers that they might end up involved with after graduation,
coursework, projects that they will be involved with, as well as the curriculum requirements.
So it gives them a chance to meet with me as an advisor, to answer their questions,
as well as students, to find out more about the experiences they've had while taking some
of the courses here.
I've been looking online to explore different majors, and I wanted to come here so I could
talk to some people who are actually in them, so I could find out what the differences are and which
one I'd be most interested in.
I came to the major exploration fair because I wanted to decide between mechanical and
electrical engineering. I like to work with robotics so it helped me get to a decision.
We're here to support you as you're exploring your interests
and find your next steps.
