Tara: Denon's 2310, 3310 and 4310 are high-quality and extremely powerful receivers.
Mac: Now we're not going to cover all the specification of each one of them today, just
some of the primary differences between the three. Beginning with the AVR-2310, these
Denon receivers feature fantastic 1080p upconversion.
Tara: Right, and that means that you can connect from your receiver to your TV using just one
HDMI cable. It's also going to give you the best video quality possible from all of your
sources.
Mac: Absolutely. Now this is all made possible through the use of an Anchor Bay chip, which
was previously only available on some of Denon''s highest end models.
Tara: And Denon also has you covered from the sound end too. These receivers feature
support for all the latest Blu-ray formats.
Mac: And if you've ever experienced the loss of some sound detail as you turn your volume
down, that's just not going to happen with these Denon receivers. Through their Dynamic
EQ feature, they will allow you to keep all that sound detail as you turn your volume
lower.
Tara: And they give you a way to get an even more expansive sound stage. They offer support
for Dolby's Pro Logic IIz, and that's where, in addition to your typical 5.1 set up, you
can add two front height speakers above the left and right channels.
Mac: And through Denon's optional iPod dock, it allows you to charge and control your iPod
from Denon's onscreen display.
Tara: The 3310 gives even more music choices. It lets you play music from your computer
or play internet radio stations when you connect the receiver to your home network.
Mac: And if you have any music files on a portable thumb drive or possibly a portable
hard drive, you can access any of these files through the USB port on the front of this
receiver. It also adds an HD radio tuner, so you can pull in crystal clear HD radio
stations.
The AVR-4310 adds more power than the previous receivers.
Tara: And it makes sure that each source looks its best by letting you customize the picture
settings for each input.
Mac: It also gives you an extra HDMI input in the front, especially useful if you have
an HD camcorder, and it adds an extra HDMI output, allowing you to output the picture
to two different displays at the same time.
Tara: The 4310 also lets you expand your sound stage. You can add those height channels we
were talking about before or add front width channels with Audessey DSX processing. This,
combined with the receiver's increased power, makes it really ideal for larger rooms.
Mac: It also give you direct control of your iPod through the USB input so no need for
the Denon iPod dock.
