The Institute for Food, Brain and Behaviour has been going as a UK charity for
over 20 years looking at the effect of what we eat
on how our brain functions and our behaviour. We're here
in Oxford, at Magdalen College, with a group of scientists from around the world
and we're trying to understand where the scientific consensus is
around what we eat and
and brain function. We're particularly interested in this conference
in fatty acids - omega 3 and omega 6 -
which we mostly get from from fish oils but
there's an awful lot to talk about.
We started by learning about the individual scientists' work
and in later sessions were going to ask questions about
what are the policy areas that we need to be concentrating on?
What are the practical things that we can do?
