My name is Marianne Marsh.
I'm 77 years old.
And I recently had a heart surgery.
And it was my second one with Kaiser Permanente.
And I appreciate so much the fact that I'm here.
They've given me more time to enjoy my daughter,
my son-in-law, my two grandsons.
I'm grateful. I'm very, very grateful.
My doctors were special.
They took great interest in me.
And this one nurse came in and she looked at me and she said
you look very sad today.
And I said I am.
And she said here.
And she had this bracelet on.
And she put it on my wrist.
And she said I want you to concentrate
on how smooth those stones are.
I don't know how I was so fortunate
to have people of this caliber.
They cared about me.
I could cry because they truly cared.
I enjoy the fact that through Kaiser Permanente I have the
health now to go out and be a part of
many organizations that I belong to.
I love giving. And the rewards are just unbelievable.
I'm also very blessed. My mother is still with me.
She is 106 years old.
And having this recovery has allowed me to now,
once again, start taking her places
and doing things with her.
It's a blessing to have this extra time with her.
She's a delightful person -- truly delightful.
And I am blessed.
