PC99 Swimming Reviews
Hey guys today I'm going to be reviewing the Arena Swedix Gogggles
These are basically like Swedes, but a lot better as you will see in this review
Now I've already got mine assembled, but they come unassembled, so you're going to have to assemble them first. But assembling Swedes is very easy
They come with this carrying case here. Just a basic plastic one, it's not hard, but it's good enough to keep lots of water out
Now as you'll notice first with mine is I have a yellow ribbon as my center. This is because my string broke and it was the closest thing I had at practice to use
But basically you have your two lenses that you can are very flexible. You have your inner piece here, which holds them together, next to the string so this doesn't cut your nose
And then you have a nice, durable strap with the Arena logo. As well as a clip right here
As we take a closer look, the first thing you might notice is the slit in the middle of these goggles. These allow for superb underwater vision
Once you wear them underwater they take effect, but above water, they don't have any effect other than annoying your eye because this is directly in front of your eye
They also have an Arena text on the left lens here. As well, they have padding
It's not like the Aquaforce which have absoultely no padding. But these actually have a soft, rubber padding that allows for a good seal and comfort
As I move the goggles up and down, you can see there's really no difference above water like I said from the slit
Once you go underwater though, there is a major difference, as you will see here
So here's an underwater view through the lenses. Immediately when you submerge them you notice there's a massive difference between the top half and the bottom half
When you're actually underwater, this make you see the entire pool and basically it's a new experience that you have to get used to
One thing to take note of with these goggles is that they scratch very easily. As you can see in the bottom half of this lens, there are already scratches
Those are from the inside, not the outside. You have to realize that this is very basic plastic, and it's expected to be easily manufacturable
So scratching becomes very easy. The reason that mine are scratched is because I had some weird fog marks on the inside, so I tried scraping them on with my finger, and my finger nail scratched the lens
Now that is a very annoying feature that I have to deal with. But they're still goggles and they still provide awesome vision and looks
Although these goggles have superb underwater vision, they don't have the best looks from the outside. But if you need an excuse to tell your friends why you're wearing such ugly looking goggles, just tell them famous sprinters like Cesar Cielo use them
I'd really recommend these goggles for anyone who is looking for a non-painful version of Swedish goggles, would like more vision in the water, or simply just want to try something new
They're available in clear, as we have here. Blue and smoke. And they're also available in a mirrored version. So go check out the Arena Swedix Goggles
