[❤ Girls Night In Ideas - Girls Night Food And Games ❤]
Hi. I'm Tracy Metro for the Kraft Kitchens,
all dressed up for a night in. Girls' night in!
Tonight is all about great food, great company, and tons of laughs,
and I'm here to show you just how easy it is to put it all together [snap] in a snap.
Now I like to make nights like tonight feel special with pretty colors spread all around.
And, of course, we've got to have some cocktails.
I also like to have an activity or a theme for each gathering.
Well tonight, it's a swap meet of sorts.
Each person has been asked to bring an appetizer
and a few items from their closet
that they might like to swap for something new and different.
First, I've set up the bar here with my signature cocktail of the night.
This is a pretty, pink cosmopolitan made with Crystal Light® cherry pomegranate.
It is delicious and perfect for girls' night.
Now for those who aren't drinking, I have a pretty pitcher here
with soda water, some lime juice, some lime, and just a splash of cranberry.
And of course, for the wine drinkers,
I've got a couple of bottles of white and a bottle of red.
And I've matched this nicely with some of the food.
And I've got some appetizers set out, so that I can start the party off right.
These right here make a nice display
This is a sharp Gruyere and a roasted mushroom sitting on top of a Triscuit®,
and it smells divine and goes really well with this light Pinot Noir.
Right next to that is an herby blue cheese and pear bite that is perfect
with this chardonnay, and here on the end
is a delicious combination of shrimp, cheddar cheese, salsa, and avocado
to pair with a light Pinot Grigio.
Now, believe it or not, there is really nothing
to this little dish. You just slice the cheese diagonally and place it on top
of a Triscuit®. Then add some avocado slices that have been cut in half.
Top that with some shrimp that's also been cut in half,
but the trick to the shrimp is you're going to want to cut that in half lengthwise.
Then just garnish it with a touch of chunky salsa.
With everyone bringing an appetizer, you probably don't want to serve
anything too heavy for a main course.
So I went ahead and prepared a simple but elegant green salad
with pears and pecans, and I'm going to serve it with this French baguette
that's been warmed in the oven,
and of course I have a little bit of butter on the side.
Now with that said, this is a swap, so everyone's been asked
to bring copies of their appetizer recipes to share with the rest of us.
And I've written mine on these cute little index cards.
And about those clothes? Have everybody put their castaways
in one big pile on the table, and then everybody gets to go shopping.
You never know...one person's mistake-wear could just be perfect for a friend.
And if there are any leftover clothes at the end of the night,
they can be donated to a great charity such as Dress for Success.
And then what would a girls' party be without a little bit of chocolate?
Here we have a fondue with some beautiful dark chocolate
with some strawberries, some kiwi, and some soft, moist pound cake.
Just dip it in the chocolate...oh yeah. That looks divine.
Look for the recipes for all these dishes in this video and lots more on Howdini.
I'm Tracy Metro for the Kraft Kitchens. Ladies? Chocolate! [clapping and cheering]
I better eat this before they come.
