In this video I'm going to explain how the pricing structure works for Bar-
i's inventory system. Obviously it's an important part of your buying
decision to fully understand the costs. Hopefully, this video will answer
those questions for you.
I'm going to start by talking about the sort of overall pricing philosophy
that's guided the design of our inventory system. Next, I'll talk about
requirements and what you need before you take the plunge and buy the
system. Then, we're going to talk separately about the set up costs, also
the ongoing costs to do your inventory every week, or whatever time gap you
choose.
The force fee that guides the design I think is to design a very good value
system, which has a low set up cost, a predictable ongoing cost and also
doesn't have any term contract. We believe that if we do a good job with
our inventory system and provide you with a good service, you will keep
buying it because you like what we do for you rather than because you're
tied into a contract.
In terms of requirements you need to have a working PC laptop that has a
full version of Microsoft Excel installed. You also need to have a scanner,
so you can scan your paper delivery invoices, and submit those to us so we
know what was delivered during the inventory period.
The set up cost for our system all in is $1500 plus travel expenses. For a
standard two day set up is that $1500 and then the additional cost is the
cost of a flight from Denver, from DIA, to your local airport.
The reason we're able to keep that cost low is by having cheap equipment
costs. That really comes from using a laptop as the brain for our inventory
system. You can buy a decent laptop these days for about $350. I know a lot
of bars actually already have one. Also, your employees will be most likely
familiar with using one.
What that means is that the dollars you spend on the set up really go to
our time to have us spend two days at your bar to do the setup and the
technical elements for you. Then to train you one to one in person how to
use the counting software and do the first inventory count together with
you. We think that's a smarter way to spend the set up dollars, is
basically to have professional assistance rather than spending thousands of
dollars on equipment.
In terms of the ongoing cost we have a flat pricing model. Most of our
clients do that inventory on a weekly basis and the cost for that is $120.
Then for the smaller bars that sometimes do it on a two weekly basis and
the cost for that is $150.
That cost includes everything. It includes the software, which we provide
for free, any support during your counting if you have problems, then the
preparation of your reports, and then support and follow up by telephone
and also by web meeting. Particularly at the start we got to really dive
into things and look at things in detail. All the follow up is included at
no extra cost.
That's really how our pricing works. For most clients it's $1500 plus
travel expenses for the two day setup. Then the ongoing cost is either 120
for weekly or 150 for every two weeks.
If you have any questions, of course please drop us an email or call us up.
Thanks for watching and we'll hope to speak to you soon.
