Hey folks Keith Luscher here with another Prospect & Flourish Every Day moment. Very
quickly today I wanted to just share a book recommendation. Last year I finished up a
book called "Brandscaping" it's by Andrew Davis published by Content Marketing Institute.
Because content marketing is a big part of what I do, it's a great resource--it's eye
opening. It tells countless stories about how brands--alot of it is about big-name brands--but
how they have grown their markets and engaged their prospects through content and story
telling and use of multi-media.
One of the things that I appreciate about content marketing and content in general is
its value as an asset. Content is capital. I've said that many times before. One of the
other points is the opportunity--which would you prefer: a bigger slice of an existing
pie, or grow the size of the pie itself? And in Brandscaping Andrew Davis actually tells
the story about how Disney did this when the movie Finding Nemo came out. It actually increased
demand for the clownfish which is the species of the featured character. Actually to the
peril of the species but that notwithstanding it's a great book. Brandscaping--check it
