[Lucy Gower] So in the sector over the last year or so I've seen a big shift in that innovation used to be a bit of a
buzz word, it used to be something that was seen as a 'nice to have', the big organisations that might
have a budget to do innovation. And the shift is
that now more and more organisations see innovation as an
absolute core business strategy. It's not a 'nice to have' any more, it's absolutely essential.
I'm seeing more organisations have teams that are specific
innovation teams with clear focus and clear strategy. I'm seeing
lots of job descriptions that ask for innovators. People with creative thinking skills. People
who can collaborate and work as teams to come up with
great ideas. There's a phrase that Adrian used earlier around getting the collective perspective.
We're seeing way more of that when we're looking at organisations recruiting with a view to doing innovation.
