I live in Humble, and there are no sidewalks or bicycle paths going to the library,
going to different places around the neighborhood--many children around there--even to the schools and whatnot.
A few people have been killed on these roads, and I've seen them make sidewalks and so forth.
And in the areas that they make them, there's no community. There's no children, no access to anything there.
It doesn't make sense. Instead of making these sidewalks available in the residents, leading somewhere--
leading to the library, leading to the schools, and so forth. I would love to ride--my child and I--to school,
which is less than a mile away from our house. But there's no sidewalks. The roads are way too dangerous,
and the sidewalks that they do have are leading just to the highway. I think this is a great thing.
I support it a whole lot, and I wish it catches on--not just in Houston--but all the other communities.
