Probably the first thing you'll notice when you come in
is that we have touch screens.
And one of the things that we're starting to do is go more automated.
We still have greeters here at the front desk where people can sign in
But we're moving to a system where people have swipe cards
where, just like a hotel key card they can come in and actually swipe and it will pull up their
information. And it's a way of capturing services so we know what they're here for
we can identify if they're here for an appointment
if they're here to look for a job, for a workshop,
it's good on our end for tracking information as well
and it's something that we're moving more to. We just started doing this this month.
this is our workforce services room. It's just a bank of
computers and typically two to three staff in here that are workforce service specialists
and their responsibility is to help the individual do that full registration
in Employ Florida.
This could be something that could take
five, ten minutes, it could take an hour.
To register completely does take a little bit of time that means
one, getting obviously a username and password, doing some skills
assessments
doing the background
getting your resume in there which is a key part as well
so that is why this is really a key step before even going further into our model
if they don't do this piece, it really cuts their visibility to
employers
so this is why this is an essential step in our process
This is our communities, we have four here in Rockledge, every
community has set up the same where you have a business liaison you have
staffing specialist who are the integrated case manager
that provide services for a variety of different programs
and we also have a community leader
in each community.
Somebody's coming in and is looking for employment, they would come up here,
do their job search. If they have an appointment they could meet with one
of our representatives.
If they are just looking for work and have a question about something
staff are immediately available and accessible, which is something very
different and very
customer-friendly. So staff always have access to that person in that community
we have a Manufacturing, Construction, Transportation Community, which is
here
over in this corner we have our other three.
we have our Aerospace Community in the back,
the Healthcare and Professional Community,
anything that falls underneath any of the other categories would be in our General
Community which is a much larger community.
But as you can tell again the setup is all the same, we have standup stations
for the job seekers
staff are
accessible all around the community and a community leader assigned to make sure
that each community is being well-maintained and staffed.
We do have a mezzanine which is located over there which does have additional
space where community partners can
anyone out in the community who wants to come in and has a service to provide,
they can use our space. It is something that is used quite a bit.
and it's a nice additional service for our customers and for our employers.
