Wow... fresh air.
We're out in the countryside and I'm off to see Rich. And there he is! Pierre. How are ya?
Great, man. Rich Tornetta from CollisionMax. Where the hell are we?
We are at the airbrush guy's place. Ok.
It's in the middle of nowhere. I had to ride a horse and buggy to get here so he
better be good.
He's great! I don't know if I can,
you now, know that this is right for me. How do I know this is going to be right.
Pierre -- MINERVA IS MY BABY! I know she's your baby.
We've taken you this far, we're not gonna let you down.
I really think we should meet this guy.
This is a good sign. I'm happier already; I'm a little nervous, but now
I'm happy. It's a good omen. That's a GOOD omen!
Let's go in!
Welcome, Pierre...
to Paint Zoo. Wow.
There's a lot of stuff to look at. So, you refer to a lot of our Philly teams
as "The Boys in Blue". I do! You know The Flyers. Oh, yes. That's Karbon McKenzie.
That's Rod Sevonavich.
And I'll never forget that great moment in sports history...
it was a home run. He was a back-liner, I believe. Yea? Yea.
Back-liner in motion. Well, Ilya Bryzgalov. You ever heard that name? No.
Leighton?
No. Emry? No.
Tuukka Rask? No. *laughs*
So, there's a hockey company called Bauer. They make goalie masks.
There are only seven guys in the United States
that are allowed to paint those masks and Franny is one of them.
Wow. Yea.
Do you know Nick Perri from Shinedown and Jane's Addiction?
Now you're speaking my language!
There you go, he's done a bike for him.
Let me take you back to meet him.
Franny!?!
Hey! What's up bud? What's up man?
It's good to see ya. It's good to see you. Fran?...
this is Pierre Robert. Greetings, citizen.
How are you? Live long and prosper.
Good to see you. Hey, nice to see you.
So, you know how to paint.
Yea.
Somewhat. Alright. I've been told
I can paint a little bit.
When I think of airbrush, I think of some guy like painting a portrait on the
boardwalk.
And it usually comes out a little kinda... not so... "Harry Loves Suzzie" with some hearts? Kinda, yea.
No, not here. Ok. We won't do any hearts or -- well, we might do a few hearts
on her.
A heart might be nice. Is this what Minerva is gonna look like when we're done
with her? *laughs*
Because she's -- woah look at that! You would like that! I would not like this... this is nothing like
the hippie van I drove out here in. So, Fran what are you thinking for Minerva?
Well, Pierre, for the bus I was thinking psychedelic,
peace, love, flowers. I like that. Colorful? Yeah, I like that. Can you show me a
little bit of how you do it? This is an airbrush.
Okay, it looks like a dental drill *laughs*.
It kinda does. I mean it doesn't make that funky noise like a dental drill. Okay.
But, this is basically what we are going to use
to help paint the bus.
Just that thing!?!
Well, we're gonna use bigger spray guns because it is a big surface, but, I think
a lot of the detail work and the blending of colors is gonna use this little airbrush.
So, you just fly that thing. Yup. There ya go!
A little more wild in your design, Fran! How's that? I like that actually.
Spray it everywhere! Yup!
There we go.
Now we're cooking with gas. I am in the wrong profession. YEEHAA!
Nice!
That is art! Let's charge five thousand dollars for that.
To hell with the bus.
I'm there. *coughs*
The fumes! Oh, for God's sakes! Do you wear a mask!?! Yes!
But I don't spray it that much!
Franny, thanks so much for having us, man. Hey, thanks for coming by; I appreciate you coming by.
Very nice to meet you, Fran and I want you to be very careful with my baby.
I sure will, I'll take extra care of it.
It might look a lot different though.
It's not gonna look like this, is it?
Absolutely not. This will scare little children.
I mean, it's lovely, I mean and I saw the movie and Johnny Depp was cool.
I don't want that on Minerva.
I also don't want that on Minerva...
