Hi, I'm Jamaica from Jamaica's Cakes in West LA. On behalf of Expert Village, we are now
going to be finishing our red velvet cake with some pipping and some adding some fresh
flowers. So we'll take our pipping bag from earlier with a large star tip fold over to
make a little bit of a hole in order to scoop your frosting into. To guarantee there's no
air bubbles in the bag, it's nice to kind of shake it down a little bit smooth it and
twist it again it's to keep the frosting from coming out of the ends. So we're going to
go along the bottom and just do a very simple technique of just kind of going over itself
just to create a nice edge. Move the cake and keep your hands in one position. I'll
make a nicer transition between the pipping and you can repeat that same process along
the top. Or you can do what I like to do is kind of alternate the directions of your swirls
going one way and the other way and just continue it all the way around the entire cake. Adjusting
your hand as needed so you always have a nice amount of frosting in your bag so there's
the finished pipping. Now with writing on the cake, it will be a good idea to get a
second pipping bag preferable with a number three or number four tip and you can either
fill it with a chocolate frosting or a take some of the leftover cream cheese frosting
and add some coloring to it red, pink, yellow whatever works for you. Then you can just
write whatever it is that you want to write on top of the cake and here we're going to
write Happy Birthday, just right on top. We're also going to add some nice fresh flowers
you can also add some of the fun cake sprinkles or any kind of little cake decorative thing
that will fit your occasion properly. So here we have some flowers we're just going to stick
them right in and finish off our look. Here is our finished red velvet cake.
