It's not a matter of IF it's a matter of WHEN. Be Ready! with Storm Ready Shelters.
Patrick Allen's Storm Ready Shelters provides the strongest, safest, heaviest, and most
tested above-ground steel Safe Rooms and below-ground steel shelters.
Structural analysis and testing on our Safe Rooms has ensured that your family will be
safe during the roughtest of weather. See for yourself in this video.
During this demonstration, the steel shelter was subjected to several types of severe destructive
assaults, similar to those experienced during an EF5 tornado or a home invansion event.
Before the test began, the storm shelter Safe Room was anchored to a concrete slab using 7-inch
3/4-inch hardened steel bolts. Using a remote control a full-size 3500 pound
2004 pontiac grand prix was driven head-on into the shelter at approximately 40 mph.
Following that impact a professional firearms instructor took aim and fired several rounds
from various weapons at the shelter. Not a single round penetrated the shelter.
Then, a 14,000 horsepower jet engine was positioned 20 feet in front of the shelter and chained
to the concrete slab during variable engine throttling the exhaust thrust created wind
force velocities of over 700 mph impacting the longside of the shelter.
2000 pounds of brick was dropped from a height of approximately fifty feet onto the top of
the shelter. Then, 4000 pounds of lumber was dropped from
approximately fifty feet above the shelter. The 3500 pound pontiac grand prix was dropped
from almost seventy feet directly onto the top of the shelter.
Despite this wide variety of punishment and after various impacts and assaults, the valley
storm shelters entry door still unlocked and opened easy.
Be Ready! for the roughest of weather with a steel Safe Room from Storm Ready Shelters
or add a below-ground steel unit to your existing home or new construction.
Both steel and fiberglass in-ground units are available.
