Hi I'm Chris from Future Music and we're here on Pioneer's stand with Rick and we're going
to be looking at the brand new mixer, the DJM-750.
>>Yes, so this is our new mixer that we announced at Musikmesse, or just a few days before.
This is the DJM-750K and we also have a DJM-750S which is just a silver version or a grey version.
So to complete the line up now we now have the DJM-750, the DJM-850 and also the DJM-900.
>>So this is a replacement for the 700 >>Correct the 700 will now be discontinued
and this is the replacement. So you know we've not tried to reinvent the wheel here
it's just a few little refinements and again just to compliment the existing portfolio. So to go
over it with you, I'll show you some of the new features we've got on here. If anybody
remembers the DJM-700 which was the predecessor to this one, it did have this pot here which was the frequency
effect, basically it just gives you master sound colour effects over the master sound
output we now have a new button on here that gives you boost effect which is basically like,
it's very similar to the RMX and macro effects, it kind of maps all different effects to one,
it just gives the DJ more creative possibilities just off one valve, very much like a macro
effect on you know, instant gratification. So I'll go over that and the new effects we've
got there, 4 channel stereo sound cards so anybody using able turn or section to produce
with, nice little compliment to that as well. So to give you a bit of a demo on the audio
sound, so we're on channel 3 so I'm going to select channel 3, filter as you'd expect,
high pass and low pass, really nice kind of resonance there on the tale.
>>And that's completely clean in the middle one middle tone. >>Yes clean in the middle then low pass to
the left and then high pass to the right. >>On the other one that was automatically the
filter that came towards the middle, the 700, that's always there.
>>Yes. So disingage filter, jets, high pass and low pass, crush, low pass crush and then
noise just to wind this oscilator. So it's 2 we have the boost effects, this is where
it starts to get interesting so again if we add filter on it's going add an echo but if
we go, it's all dependent on how. So if you whip it past you're going to get a faster delay
of pass time, so if you go slowly, faster. Jets my favourite, really kind of crazy tape delay
with the boost. And all post fader as well. And then with the noise it just adds a bit
of a delay on it. Bit more subtle as opposed to just white noise coming in your face.
>>So tempo delays and echos depend on the.. >>on the VPMK engine yeah and then obviously how fast
you whip it back. Some new effects VPM effects, we've now got a vinyl break which
as you'd expect, just breaks the track, very similar to the release effects on the RMS-1000
>>But it rolls so it keeps going >>Yeah so, so yeah you've always got the track
going underneath. P lock faded caps like the DJM-900 so you can't chuck a fader across the
dance floor minus26 EQ and also isolater as well so you can switch between the 2 different
EQ modes. And yeah the normal cross fading curves effect you expect on any other DJM
range mixers >>So in terms of IO, it's the same as the 700,
does it have digital ins and outs >>There's not digital inputs but there is
a master digital output so if you did want to use it for the studio you can to do just to make
sure you really do have the cleanest signal code there.
>>With that sound card >>Yeah 24 bit 96k 4 channels stereo sound
card and the nasio drive that comes with it on the screen to help you kind of configure
the ins and the out when you're using it with a door or DJ software for example.
>>And retail, when's it available? >>Retail is 999 euros, it should be available
aproximately a months time and that's going to be the same in the UK euro wise, yeah I'd
say £800/£900 I think, unquote unquote.
