We cannot blame the officers, now. They are doing a good job
If they are doing so much for this place, it is really a great matter.
The government pays his salary. He can count the notes and go.
No one will blame him if he does that.
If we have to go in search of the officers, it is really tough!
It is a great boon that they come in search of us on their own!
We get a proper reply first.
Then the follow-up is also commendable.
The two departments are like the two eyes of our Panchayat.
It is really unforgettable!
We have to thank the government and the officers of Tirupparunkundram
for this victory of ours!
We cannot forget the engineering department of the government.
He is a house hold name in the village!
We have not seen an officer like him till now!
Traditionally in our homes, after lunch or dinner,
or during important occasions; the whole family gathers
at the centre of the living room and we chat.
We listen to everyone's ideas...
There we don't show our irritation or anger;
to our children, for instance.
We formed that type of a Koodam.
Higher officials, AEE's, AE's Chief Engineers...
Even IAS officers who are Secretaries to the Government
All could participate in this Koodam.
Here anyone could give suggestions
and share their views without hierarchical aspects..
What happens if you call someone 'sir'
You are maintaining a distance.
Such a bureaucratic approach here, will be a barrier to any discussion.
We may think we are equal,
but our experience of 25 years will not allow us to be truly that.
But if we use 'Sir', will we be able to talk what is in our mind?
Can we?
Don't we need a via media?
So shall we have our own name? A different name?
Shall we?
Isn't this a new experience that the Koodam offers you?
...of naming ourselves.
Saravanan, would you please give those cards to everyone?
Write your name boldly, so that it can be read from any distance.
