Heel spurs are a bony growth in the heel bone caused by excess stress.
Your skin also reacts to excess stress
in the form of blisters, such as when you buy new shoes, until the leather is soft.
Calluses in the forefoot area are also a sign of excess stress
and when put under long-term stress your hind foot reacts with ossification,
or calcification.
Statistically roughly 40% of people have heel spurs
as their feet are put under severe stress due to unsuitable footwear and flat floors.
But only a small proportion of that 40% go on to have inflammation and pain.
Until now the treatment has been soft gel pads in your shoes
or even whole stress-relief insoles.
In most cases the relief is only temporary,
as raising the heel shortens the calf muscles
and in the mid-term actually raises the pressure on the inflamed area.
When you wear kyBoots that provides three effects
that are important and good for heel spurs.
First there's no irritation as you walk and stand
from the first step you take as your feet sink into the super-soft air cushion.
Secondly your calf muscles are stretched with every step,
which relieves pressure in the long term.
And thirdly the lively movement in your ankle activates your blood flow,
pumping fresh blood to your heel bone
and thus, as you may know, relieving inflammation in the tissue on your bones.
Of course the area is still ossified,
but in most cases the pain does not return even in the long term.
