Reginald: To avoid any confusion we recommend that all voters especially new ones contact
their local estate election officials to make sure they are properly registered to vote.
Speaker 3: Tip number 2, vote before election day.
Reginald: By voting early or absentee you avoid many of the problems that come up on
election day like long lines, malfunctioning machines and running out of ballots.
Speaker 4: Tip number 3, locate your polling place.
Reginald: Polling places change all the time. If you want to vote on election day, make
sure you go into the right place to vote. Speaker 5: Tip number 4, plan ahead if you
need special assistance. Reginald: If you need help voting for any
reason, you have a physical disability, you cannot read, or you need language assistance,
the law allows you to bring somebody to help you vote.
Speaker 6: Tip number 5, don't wear political attire to the polls.
Reginald: While some states allow voters to wear campaign clothing or buttons to the polling
place, most states do not. In order to avoid any [inaudible 00:01:20] hassles at all, we
recommend that voters do not wear campaign clothing or political buttons on election
day. Speaker 7: Tip number 6, bring identification.
Reginald: Some states require voters to take ID with them when they go to vote but other
states do not. To be on the safe side, we recommend you take your ID along with you.
Speaker 8: Tip number 7, vote early in the day.
Reginald: the best time to vote is either before lunch or after lunch. The worst time
to vote is after 5 PM. That's when most problems occur.
Speaker 9: Tip number 8, follow all instructions. Reginald: Voting isn't hard but you should
follow all instructions especially if you're voting by absentee ballot.
Speaker 10: Tip number 9, ask for help if you need it.
Reginald: If you have any questions at all when you go to vote, you should make sure
you ask for help. That's one of the reasons that poll workers are there.
Speaker 11: Tip number 10, take your time. Reginald: When you're in the voting group,
there's no reason to rush at all. Take your time and now please pay special attention
