Alright now we're going to be plugging in from your speakers to your mixer. Now at a
gig, you may be using just speakers that you have that you can plug directly into. You
might be going into a mixer that's already at the gig. I mean, you can just always send
your mixer into a regular stereo receiver that's probably in your parent's house. And
the way it goes in is using RCA cables. RCA cables, its stereo one side on one, the other
side on the other. It's good to have on hand when gigging adapters from RCA to quarter
inch because you'll find at a lot of clubs, the mixer that you need to put your mixer
into because they already have it set up for their sound system at whatever particular
club might only have quarter inch inputs and quarter inch is this size on this side. This
is RCA, which fits right onto the other side of an RCA cable. But these are already hooked
into my speakers so I just bring these over and I put it into the line out. Now it's very
important that you put them in the line out because if you accidentally put them into
any other one, your signal is not going to be sent from your mixer to your speakers.
So you put the red in the red and you put the white in the white. And make sure they're
pushed in because if you don't have them pushed all the way in you may only hear one side
or you might hear nothing. And that's the first step.
