What’s up guys, Jason here and thanks for watching TFX. Now, if you grew up sleeping
in the sewers and eating marshmallows on your pizza like I did…then you’re just as pumped
to see a Ninja Turtles cartoon return to the air waves as I am. Today we got our first
real look at what to expect from the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series coming
to Nickelodeon this fall. First off I gotta say if there was any network that deserves
to have a Ninja Turtles cartoon, it’s this one, as I grew up watching it and something
about it airing on this network just seems right. Many elements indicate they’re hoping
to capitalize on the nostalgia of the 90s show, as the trailer features a remixed version
of the theme song, as well as the overall design of the turtles. Now theres already
some who feel the look of the show is a little too far removed from the traditional animation
we’re used to, and I’ll admit I felt like I was watching a cut scene from a video game
at times instead of a half hour TV show, but I think it’s something I could get used
to. It also appears they may be changing up the origins stories just a bit from the original
cartoon series and leaning more toward the graphic novel much as the live action film
did. The Foot and Shredder both appear to harken back to their comic roots but by far
the most interesting thing about this production is the voice cast. We have Greg Cipes from
Teen Titans and Ben 10 voicing Michelangelo, Jason Biggs of American Pie fame voicing Leonardo
and the Goonies Never Say Die actor himself Sean Astin playing Raphael. But by far the
one that has me most excited about is Rob Paulsen returning from the original series
to voice Donatello, which just made this show a must see for me. No official release date
yet but expect the series to debut sometime this Fall. And again I’m Jason, thanks for
watching. And remember if you enjoyed the video be sure to hit the like button and thanks
again for subscribing to the channel.
