Hi my name is Cathy Margolin, I'm a Acupuncturist and Herbalist and I own a business but
I'm not here to sell you anything. Today I wanna talked to you is a mom because I'm
in the biggest battle of my life.
I'm trying to save my daughters and I didn't know who'd turn to it in first so I turn
to myself and I started doing research
and if you care about your life or your daughter's life stay with me for a couple minutes and
watch this if not think of it now
I'm trust somebody else but I've got to tell you what I've found.
this all started when the article that I've read on Dr. OZ website. The article
was titled "When period pains cramp your daughter's style"
and in this article Dr. Oz and says there are only two answers for young girls
menstrual cramps and they are the over the counter pain killers like ibuprofen, acetaminophen.
or birth control pills - Oral contraception! I have to say, REALLY? Please Dr. Oz and anybody out there
listening ...there so much more you can do for young girls menstrual cramps.
I want to tell you what I tell to my own daughters. First I like to read you a quote
that I've found in doing my research.
This is a quote from a famous breast cancer doctor, his name is Dr. Larry Norton. He
works at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital in New York City and this is what he has to say
about birth control pills.
I quote. "Birth control pills are an estrogen-progesterone (artificial) combination, so they bring up the same fears
as HRT. Some disagree with me, but I just don't see a reason to take the Pill—even
for younger women. The fact is, breast cancer cells, at least in the formative stages, like
estrogen. So the more continuously you feed them the estrogen, the greater the likelihood
you'll have a malignancy."
Again this the quote from Dr .Larry Norton, a breast cancer doctor from Memorial Sloan-Kettering
Hospital in New York City.

Now we all know from friends and family and people we know that fought cancer
some have won and some have lost. We all want to know what are risk factor are for developing
cancer some time turn in lifetime.
Some women carry a gene mutation called the BRACA gene #1 and #2 and this gene
mutation gives the women a 50 to 80% greater likelihood of developing breast cancer some
time during their lifetime.
Now when we put young girls on oral contraception we don't even know if they carry this gene
mutation. We may be increasing their risks factor for cancer by using the Pill.

I want to talk about other places I did research. The Breast Cancer Fund.org.
This book is there's and you can find in at http://www.breastcancerfund.org/ they're a non-profit organization. They
do all kinds of research and have found evidence about the risk factors
for cancer's specifically the breast cancer.
3:20
Here's what they says about oral contraception " several study have shown that increase
risk of breast cancer in women using oral contraceptives". and they also say those who
are using birth control pills earlier in life and took it for a long period of time".
3:34
Can see why I just don't giving young girls especially under of age 18. whose bodies
are still developing to give them birth control pill for menstrual cramps doesn't make sense
to me.
3:56
The World Health Organization has this to say. They actually declared combined estrogen
progestin in oral contraception as carcinogenic. This you can see on the WHO
website this was declared in 2005 and 5 years ago.
4:04
This is why I say,I think there so much more we can do for young girls menstrual cramps.
I'll tell you what I tell my own daughters.
4:14
Stop drinking out of plastic water bottles because plastic contains BPA's and BPA's
are endocrine disrupting chemicals.
4:19
and we also find BPA's in the lining of food cans.
4:26
You can tell young girls stop microwaving your foods in plastic container because plastic leaches
toxic chemicals into our food and to our body.
4:30
Stop eating meat and milk that full of hormones. .
4:40
Reduce the chemicals you put on your body in the form of shampoos and cosmetics
because many have hormone disrupting chemicals in them.
4:55
Certainly diet and exercise can help menstrual cramps. Meditation and yoga can help.
What about alternative practitioners? Acupuncturists, Naturapaths, Homeopaths and Chiropractors!
They all have treatments and remedies to help young girls in menstrual cramps.
5:03
I just think there so much more we can tell them Dr. Oz , than to just
tell young girls to use oral contraception.
5:16
Do your own research. Do your own research. But, please leave me
a comment after you watch this video. I would really love to hear what you say. Share your thoughts. Please!
