Being able to create good core and cavity separations quickly and efficiently does not make
for a complete mold design solution. In fact it's much more than that.
Here in TopSolid'Mold we are going to show you how quickly you can add a standard mold base to your design.
You just choose your zero, choose your supplier,
and then choose the specific standard and you're done. But maybe you want to modify that standard.
Maybe you want to add a plate or change the thickness of a specific plate like the A-plate.
So here we will select the A-plate,
and then we will show you all available catalog standards that fit in that current assembly.
Choose a new one...click OK!
TopSolid"Mold does the rest.
Including adding all of the standard components that come with that specific library mold base.
In fact we do more than that!
Here once we make the plates transparent you'll notice that we've included all of the standard components. But what's more, we have also processed them.
This means that all the tapped holes and counter bored holes and bored holes have been added to each specific plate accordingly. And all done automatically.
Next if we turn off the A-half, you'll notice that we still have work to do. We need to create a pocket for the core block.
No problem! We will click on process, choose the core block, and ask the software to add a 12 mm fillet on the core block,
and 10 mm fillets in the corners of the pocket. That's it! Click OK. We do the work for you.
And if you look there's your two fillets applied automatically.
More importantly if we turn off the core block you'll notice the pocket cut automatically to the correct depth.
Let's see what happened on the A-side.
On the A-side it looks like the fillets also were applied automatically.
