and you still haven't baked your cake ?
Don't worry, you can make an express chocolate chestnut cake with me
It's simple and delicious
Ingredients you will need :
125 g dark chocolate chuncks
125 g butter (salted is better)
4 eggs
500 g chestnut puree and some vanilla extract
for the icing : 150 g dark chocolate
and 15 cl heavy cream
Use your micro wave 2 x 30 seconds to melt chocolate and butter
whisk well to obtain a smooth mixture
the smallest the chocolate chuncks, the faster it will melt
now add chestnut puree and vanilla extract
Pre-heat your oven at 300°F (or 150°C)
Add eggs one at a time and whisk in between each egg
I've added the 4 eggs
use a loaf cake pan, spray it and pour the chocolate batter in it
Now it's time to bake it at 300°F for 45 minutes
in a saucepan, bring the heavy cream to a boil
pour it on the chocolate and whisk well to get a smooth and silky icing
Once your cake is cooled, transfer it to a plate
spread your chocolate icing on top and on the sides
decorate with chocolate curls, sugar pearls and so on...
Serve is cold, it's better :)
