Hello, I’m Chris Conklin for expertvillage.com. In this segment, we’re going to be talking
about featuring poses…the difference between candid and posed. When we talk about getting
actual candid shots, we are talking about things like action, somebody is actually doing
something or playing a sporting event or they are actually performing an act of some sort
or they are excited they are dramatic. What you are trying to do is you are trying to
catch them off guard, so that they do not really know that you are actually even taking
their photograph; what you are really looking for is something that is interesting and appealing
for the picture. What is it that that person is thinking or that they are doing, what is
going through their head, capture that aspect, that drama, the fear, the personality whether
it be happy, whether it be sad, or lucky…what it is you are looking to capture something
that normally would not be captured or posed.
