I wanted a change in my life, I wanted a new experience and meet new people.
I found Xcela when I was looking at our newspaper in Slovenia, and then I found it in the add of that newspaper.
My name is Munir Abdalla, I am the managing director of the Xcela company.
Our concept which involves language and medical training - is unique and new in Germany.
First I was sceptical - should I go? Should I not go? I was afraid what could happen there.
And then I said - Ok, I will try it why not.
They send me an Email to come to an interview in Lubljana. They had an interview in one hotel.
And then I went to that Interview and after about two months I got the answer, that I'm accepted.
And then I realized "Oh my god. I'm going to Germany!"
My feelings when I arrived were mixed. I didn't know how to speak German, I can only speak English.
So the language is the most important thing, when you go to another country.
At first I went by plane, I was a little bit scared, I had mixed feelings. I was sad because I was leaving my country.
I didn't know the people I came here with. It's a new country, language and culture. So the beginning was... I don't know...
After one week, I'm starting to feel ok. I know the people now, that arrived in this group. We are becoming friends. It's very friendly.
For now I can say, that the people are really nice.
They came from Spain, Greece, Slovenia, we are two from Poland, then Lithuania and Russia.
So we are a very mixed group, but in the end we found a way to understand eachother.
People here are very nice. We became like a big family, we are also hanging out in the private life, and not only in the school.
And we bonded quickly in a month. It's very surprising, but also nice, because here we don't have our family - but a lot of friends.
We start learning German one week after our arrival. At first we have a test to show our knowledge, how we are doing with patients.
We have 3 months training which include language lessons and medical lessons. All together 3 months.
The apartments are very big, the rooms are big and lightful. We live in the 16th floor - what I like, because I can see the whole town.
We were overwhelmed by the fact, that the apartments are so big. Everything is provided for us.
The kitchen has everything what you need for cooking. You don't need anything of your own inventory.
You practically could just move in... and live.
It's very good organized, with the apartments, with learning, everything.
You don't have to be afraid what could happen, because everything is taken care of - the bank account, health insurance, with your living conditions.
They help us finding a new apartment in Bonn after we are finished. It's very good and they are helping us very very much.
I expect from myself, that I will learn german very soon - and that I will work here for a long time.
I think the situation here is very good, so this is a good opportunity for me - I think I made the right decision.
Now the three months are ending and I'm going to Bonn. I have also learned many many things. I feel very good.
I'm very surprised that I made it till here, and I am very happy to be here, because I think now it's beginning my new better life.
And I'm very very happy that I came.
