Hi, and welcome to a ValveTime announcement video.
We are beginning our search to find more people like us,
that enjoy all things Valve and would like to join our team working on our website and YouTube channel.
We're opening an invitation up to all of our readers and viewers to apply if you would like to get involved.
We're recruiting for 2 or 3 writers to join us in writing website news posts
and video scripts such as our Round-Up, Top 5, or Spotlight videos.
We're looking for people with a couple criteria in mind.
One, you must be clued up on Valve and most of their work.
This is very important, but if you've been following us and our Round-Up videos for some time,
you should be all set.
Two, you must be self-motivated and passionate about what you work on.
We want people to enjoy what they do and do it for themselves,
be it for personal pleasure or to help work towards a gaming journalism future career.
And three, you must be competent in English writing skills in order to construct news posts or video scripts,
neither of which are too wordy but must reach our quality standards.
This is what we're looking for, but what can we offer you?
Well, we're currently the largest dedicated Valve fan website on the web
and we're responsible for breaking many of the biggest stories around Valve in recent times,
including Source 2, the Episode Three concept art, and exclusive in-game shots of Episode 4.
We've been around for 10 years come May,
meaning we have key links with community figures, mod teams, and Valve themselves.
We also have a couple other perks once you're welcomed into the ValveTime staff quarters.
To apply, we need you to send us an example of your work.
The first piece should be an example news post based on the article linked in the description
from the Left 4 Dead blog.
We're looking for you to create a title and condense the article down to around 150 words.
You can check our website for an idea on how a news post should read.
The second piece should be an example video script for a ValveTime Top 5.
Please pick your own topic for this.
Just write an intro and your top 3 entries, making it around 500-600 words total.
If you have a blog or website you currently write for,
please also include a link to your existing work and we'll be sure to check that out, too.
Send your entries to vacancies@valvetime.net with your name or alias in the title.
We'll leave the vacancies open until March 30th, 2013.
After the 30th, we will no longer accept or consider any applicants,
so be sure to get your entries in sooner rather than later.
The selected few will be informed privately via an email shortly after the deadline has passed.
Many thanks for your interest in joining the team and best of luck to those who are interested.
Bye for now.
