My name is Matthieu Frison,
I am documentary filmmaker
On my last trip to Thailand I discovered "Schools of Hope "
a nonprofit association whose mission is to create schools
to rescue orphaned or abandoned by families too poor children.
These children come from ethnic minorities in Burma where the war is still raging.
They are the potentials victims of traffickers,
who bring them in networks of prostitution or begging.
The first school "schools of hope" was founded in 2008
in a Buddhist temple under construction.
It houses 50 children who study, eat and sleep there.
It works somehow with faculty volunteers and the generosity of some donors.
Unfortunately, their toilets and bathrooms are totally unhealthy.
While it may sometimes be only 10 degrees in this mountainous region,
there is no hot water, wood structures are rotting. The rain and mud stagnate.
The children catch all kinds of skin diseases,
pneumonia and diahreas during the rainy season.
Today they need approximately € 4,000 to redo 6 toilets
and two bathrooms of the school and bring them hot water.
We can help
If we are 200 to give only 20 euros, these children will have decent sanitaries.
I personally am going to Thailand on November 1,
to pursue a documentary on the problems of this region.
To avoid trouble of sending money to Thailand and limit costs,
I propose to directly collect the money
and bring it in person to the school principal.
No running costs,
no middleman,
100% of the money will be redistributed.
For once we know exactly where our donations will go.
To date, I have already recovered more than 800 euros from my proches.
If I collect the money in time, the work will take place during my stay
and I will post on the facebook page that I created
the pictures of theprogress of work and i'll personal monitoring them.
To send me the money or get more information, please contact me.
You can also follow the progress of the donations on facebook.
Thank you for sharing this video with your friends, your loved ones.
Thanks to those who can help.
