I just got a new Android phone. What are the best apps for Android?
That depends on what you want to do. Are you working from the device, organizing your life
or trying to create life hacks?
All of the above!
Jiffy is an excellent day planner. Actually, you can plan your day and fill in a whole
calendar.
I use post it notes more than day planners.
CatchNotes is a good Android app to rival to One Note.
I’d rather have a way to replace my laptop with my Android.
If you can’t live without Microsoft Office, MS Office Mobile is $10 a month. If you don’t
want to give money to Microsoft, Quickoffice is free from Google.
That’s a maybe.
If you work a lot on your phone and want to share files for collaborative work, you can
install Dropbox on the Android. You can also use it to backup your Android data to the
cloud.
I need an app to help me afford the phone bill.
If you don’t like Quicken and don’t trust Mint, use Expense Manager to track your spending
and graph where it goes.
I wish there was an app that paid me for using it.
Hideman is a free VPN or Virtual Private Network app for Android. It protects your privacy
when surfing online.
Why would that matter?
Do you want to risk someone spoofing a wi-fi hot spot and reading your banking login information
because you check the balance while on the go? It keeps you from losing your money.
Is there an app that will do something I can’t do for myself?
Valet lets you mark your car’s location and help you find it later. If you forget
to mark it, the app can help you use the Bluetooth connection in the car to find it.
Finally, there is an app for that! Now I just need one to help me find my lost car keys.
