>>City Harvest today we have the privilege to welcome this awesome and of God in this
place. Come on, let’s give Nick a big big hand! Hallelujah! Come on!
Hallelujah, hallelujah. Wow. I thank you so much, pastor, for having us
here. Thank you City Harvest for having me. I understand this is the record-breaking crowd
ever at your church. And so I want to share with you how me believing that Jesus is King
of Kings and Lord of Lords has transformed me. And before I get into it, I always open
up with a couple funny stories. You know, kids come up to me, and they say, what happened?
And I go up to them and I say cigarettes. And then you know, I like freaking out…I
like. Oh, good, I thought that was my microphone, it’s just God’s microphone. Hallelujah.
And, you know, I like freaking out adults out as well, you know, when they see me for
the first time, what do they do? Do they shake my hand, you know, do they ignore me? I just
start talking to them and say, give me a hug, you know? And so I hug a lot of people, I’ve
hugged over 350,000 people, and I hold the Guinness Book of World Records for hugs in
an hour. 1,749 hugs. And the scary thing about that is that, you know, is that anyone can just come up to me, hug
me, pick me up and take me home. But I’ll tell you one thing. Arms or legs
or not, I needed a greater healing. Without arms and legs, that is a disability, but there
are two bigger disabilities than having no arms and no legs. Bigger disabilities than
dying of cancer. Your biggest disability is the fact that you’re going to die. Yeah?
Whether you die of cancer and you maybe get treatment and you don’t die of cancer, you
die of old age. If I don’t die of old age or cancer I’ll die of a car crash. If I
don’t die of a car crash, I’ll die in a plane crash. One day, on Earth, Nick Vujicic
will die. OK? That’s now worse than having no arms and no legs. Why? Because you can
have everything in this world, there are people who are generous because that’s how they
make themselves feel good, and like, that’s my purpose, to give.
But giving alone is not enough. You know that saying that all teenagers are saying, YOLO?
Today, if you believe in Jesus, you need to stop using that word. ‘Cause you’re not
just living once. That’s why you don’t need to get drunk all the time just to be
happy and forget about your pain, that’s why you don’t need to change yourself to
fit in with the crowd, because you know the truth of who you are. That’s why you don’t
need to just go out and have all the pleasure of this world and get as much money as you
can, because this world isn’t it! I’m not living once, I’m living twice, and when
I get resurrected from the grave, as Jesus was resurrected from the grave, that’s my
second and last eternal forever and ever and ever life. That’s why I don’t go with
the crowd, that’s why I don’t need to use the F word to feel cool, because I am
an ambassador of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and if you, and if you want happiness,
and freedom the first thing you need to understand, young church, is who you are.
Girls. What does every girl in the world want to be when they’re a three-year old? A princess.
Isn’t that true? What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a princess.
They don’t even know what a princess is! It’s got something to do with pink stuff,
right? So why does every girl want to be a princess? God made us, and you know what?
Even the most, most successful billionaire, famous have everything they want people—they’re
still empty if they don’t know where they’re going for sure when they’re not here. You
can’t take anything with you from Earth, except your soul. What is the point of gaining
all the respect of the world, admiration of the world, and all the money in the world,
and even feeding all the poor people in the world if you lose your soul?
My soul is not lost, my soul is in the hands of the one who created me. And when he created
my soul, there is this missing thing in my soul, and only heaven and belief in Jesus
can fill it. Because when I believe in Jesus, I believe in the full forgiveness of my sins.
When I believe in Jesus, I believe that he resurrected, so I’m going to resurrect as
well. And when I believe in Jesus, and I become an adopted son of God, and you become a daughter
of the King of Kings, girls, what’s a daughter to a king? So parents, listen to me very carefully,
OK? Your daughter is a member of the royal family of God. And she is beautiful, so when
she gets annoyed at you when you tell her, you’re beautiful, you’re beautiful, you’re
beautiful, and she says, of course you’re going to tell me I’m beautiful, I’m your
daughter. And then some teenagers, they put a do not disturb sign on their door, respect
that sign. But go outside the house, go around the house, stick your head through your daughter’s
window, and say you’re beautiful. Why? Because if we don’t tell the next generation the
truth of their value, who will? Truth this way. False this way. Nick, you’re
not good enough. Nick, God doesn’t love you. Nick, God doesn’t…no wait, He forgot
you, man. He doesn’t have arms and legs for you, He’s not even real. Nick, you’re
just going to be a burden to your parents, and, you’re never going to get a job. Nick,
you’re going to be alone for the rest of your life. Nick, just give up.
At age 10, I tried to commit suicide. Why? Because I felt like no hope. To receive hope
when you don’t see it takes faith. I was stopped by one thought. And the one thought
was simply this: seeing my mom and my dad crying at my grave, wishing that they could
have done something more. Losing a loved one is worse than having no
arms no legs. And I didn’t want to leave them with that pain. So I decided to stay.
I turned my back, slowly. Everyone say slowly. Slowly, I turned my back on the lies. And
started reaching for the truth. And the truth set me free.
Seven years ago, I met a little boy with no arms no legs, who was so cute from California.
Nineteen month old little Daniel. His father helped him up above the crowd, and I was like,
woah. That is awesome, man. Finally, someone I can wrestle with, right? I got the father
to bring him up on stage, and his short, like this, nineteen months old, no arms, no legs,
and a little foot just like me. So I couldn’t give him a high-five, so I gave him a low-two.
Little sole to sole action, right? And everyone who saw us cried. I saw my mum hug his mum,
and they cried. I saw my dad hug his dad, they cried. I cried. Daniel was happy. I told
his mum I’m going to come to his school when he’s six years old so I can talk about
bullying. Last year, I went to his school, talked about bullying. He was getting teased
at school. Then I went to go speak at his school. Now he’s the coolest kid in the
school. But listen. God has a plan for you that you
cannot see. And that will change your life. I don’t care what I have on this Earth.
Just give me Jesus. I don’t care what I do on this Earth, I just want Jesus. He does
not love me because I am an evangelist, He loves me because I’m His son. And when my
son kicked in my wife’s womb, and I felt him kick for the first time, I was so moved
with emotions that I looked my wife in the eyes and I was filled with tears, and I said
I love him. I never saw him, I never held him, I never
heard his cry. But I love him. Why? ‘Cause he’s mine. God loves you. Because you’re
His. Maybe you don’t feel God’s love. Well, if God loves the world, then why is
there so much pain? Pain didn’t come from God. Pain came from the snake. Satan. When
Adam and Eve fell into sin, they were cursed with sin and death. Because of sin. So that’s
why human nature, we’re sinful, we’re prideful. We’re greedy. Pride, think of
pride. You think you know everything. I was in India, it’s my last story, I was
in India. 2008. We went to visit the red light district where girls age 16, 17, 18 were all
kidnapped at 10 years old. Sold for 700 US dollars. Forced into prostitution. Many sold
by their parents. We spoke to 600 slaves. And all their bosses and pimps. After we spoke,
we went to the red light district, and we actually went out into the houses. The houses
were small. We went into four. They’re more like big rooms, not a house.
And I walked in, someone pushed me in on a stroller, I didn’t walk in. Someone pushed
me in, and I got my friend to put me next to this old lady. There was this very, very
old woman on the floor. Sitting on a rug, and you could see she was weak. She was frail.
And so I got my friend to put me next to her. And I look up on the wall, and I see the whole
wall of the gods that she worshipped. Top to bottom, left to right.
So I start talking to her about Jesus. Through a translator. And she was so weak, her mouth
is pretty much open, you know? Like this. She’s 95, must have been 95 at least. And
through a translator, I’m talking to her about Jesus Christ.
All of a sudden, a woman walks into the room, very angry with me, and she’s got her arms
crossed, and she says, who are you? What are you doing here? What are you talking about?
And I said, I’m Nick, and I’m here to talk about Jesus. She said stop talking about
Jesus. I don’t want to hear about your God. She said show me that your God is real, don’t
just talk, show me. She said make my sister walk. I said, sorry?
She said this is my sister; she has been paralyzed for 4 years, she hasn’t walked on her own
two feet. She hasn’t left this house. We carry her to the toilet, and in the last two
weeks, her strength has diminished quite a lot. If your God is real, show me.
Out of, out of 300 miracles that I’ve prayed for face-to-face, and if the miracle happened
I could see it, out of 300, 12 miracles I’ve seen. I’ve seen blind people see, I’ve
seen deaf people hearing, I’ve seen lame people walking, I’ve seen crooked backs
come straight, I’ve seen skin diseases fall off bodies entirely in 24 hours. I prayed
for a guy with my friend that he was supposed to die in 24 hours. In 24 hours, he walked
out leaping and jumping out of the hospital, and this woman. I started praying for her.
We were praying, we were praying, we were praying, we were praying, we were praying,
and I said get up and walk in Jesus’ name. And she couldn’t walk.
I got two friends of mine to carry her up, and she could barely put any weight on her
left, she dared not put her right foot on the ground, because it was too painful. Her
facial expression showed all the torture, the pain that it just felt so difficult to
stretch out those legs after 4 years. She went from one end of the room to the other
and came back and sat in the seat. And I looked at her sister, and she was so angry. And I
said no, God, we’re going to pray more. We sat massaging her legs. 30 seconds later,
her face goes from this to this. Woah. I’m ready.
And I said, what? She said, I’m ready! Let me try to walk! I said no no no no, we have
to pray a little bit more. She gets up, all by herself, and we were like woah. And her
sister’s like wow. And she was like oooooh baby. She’s walking faster and faster and
faster and faster, and we’re like, woah. She starts jumping up and down. And I’m
like woah. That’s not the miracle. I go back to the hotel, my friend who took
me there set me down, he says I need to talk to you. I said what happened. He said that
woman who walked wasn’t just any woman. I said what do you mean? He said she was the
one, 45 years ago, who started the whole city block of the red light district. She was the
one who started making money from destroying girls’ lives. She was evil. She was responsible
for destroying thousands of girls’ lives. And I was like, that is amazing.
She did so much evil, yet God pursued her. See, every religion says that God doesn’t
really love you unless you’re trying to do good. No, he loves us all. Jesus died for
all, but if you believe it, you receive it, and you walk with him, those are the people
who are saved. Are you walking with the lord Jesus Christ? Or are you living your life
as best as you can? Don’t live in your strength anymore, don’t
live in your plan anymore, don’t live in your wisdom anymore. Because nothing compared
to what God has for you. God is the healer. He is the forgiver. He can reconcile, and
he can restore your soul. If you know you need to make your life up with God, and you
don’t want to live one more day without him, you can stand with a friend, you can
stand with someone else, just stand up across this place. That’s it, just stand, come
on. You know you’re not walking with God, you don’t want to walk with, you don’t
want to walk your way, you want to walk with God. Hallelujah!
Praise be to God. God bless you.
