-Aloha, friends.
It's Cobi.
For this Veggietorial, I'm going to show you
how I make a garbanzo better-than-tuna salad.
So let's get started.
I like for there to be a nice contrast of textures
between the veggies that I use and the garbanzo beans.
Using herbs from my garden will add fresh, bright flavors.
If I use the spread for a sandwich,
I use a multi-grain bread, or if I'm making a salad,
I use the prettiest vegetables I can find.
Remember, you eat with your eyes first.
Add cooked garbanzo beans that have been drained and rinsed
to a food processor, along with miso and vegan mayo.
Miso is going to add that umami layer
to create depth of flavor.
Pulse the mixture just until the beans are still chunky,
and then transfer to a large bowl.
And to make it even more delicious,
we'll add nutritional yeast, dill, and celery salt.

The next ingredients are totally optional,
but I think it makes this taste more like a traditional salad.
I add some pickle relish and some dulse.
The dulse is going to give it that briny flavor,
like the sea.
But if you don't like a fishy flavor, leave it out.
