Namaskar Welcome to nishamdhulika.com
Today we will make 3 fold parantha (teen parat parantha) for kids.
Parantha will be one but when it will be served we will get three paranthas out of it.
Two will be crispy and one will be soft.
Let’s see what ingredients are required for making teen parat parantha.
Wheat flour - 1 cup
We will knead the dough in the similar way like that kneading dough for chapatti.
Salt - ¼ tsp
Desi ghee - 1 tsp for kneading dough and rest for roasting paranthas
Knead flour firstly.
Add salt and 1 tsp ghee in the flour.
Mix well.
Add little amount of water at a time for kneading the dough.
Prepare very soft dough like that of dough used for making chapatti.
We use half the amount of water then flour.
There can be variations in usage of water according to the variety of flour.
We have taken ½ cup of water.
Cover the dough for 15-20 minutes so that it gets fermented.
After 20 minutes knead the dough more, Grease your hands with ghee and make the dough softer.
Now we will start making paranthas.
Preheat the tawa.
Take little amount of dough (lemon size) and make a round ball.
Now divide the ball into 3 equal parts for making three paranthas.
Roll all the three balls separately.
Coat one ball with dry flour and roll it with help of rolling pin into 2-3 inch diameter.
Like wise roll the second and third ball.
Now we will mix the all three paranthas.
Grease the first parantha with ghee and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle some dry flour as well.
Layer the second parantha on top of it and grease it with ghee as well.
Sprinkle some more dry flour on top of it.
Now layer the third parantha as well and paste them nicely.
Now we have got one parantha.
Coat it with dry flour and roll it.
Roast the paranthas now.
Place it on the tawa and meanwhile prepare your second parantha.
The surface color has changed now flip the parantha.
When both sides get roasted well, spread ghee on the parantha and flip it upside down.
Spread the ghee on other side as well.
Press it with help of a spoon and cook until it gets brown spots on both sides.
Teen parat parantha is ready and is liked by kids a lot.
When we will serve them separate al the layers.
The two layers are crispy and middle layer is soft.
All three layers have different taste.
