History has shown that some pretty awesome things have happened by breaking from tradition.
Everything from rock and roll to electricity has come from breaking with tradition and
embarking them down paths that other people haven't been down. With breaking from tradition
in mind, I'd like to introduce you to the long form webinar registration age. Because
this isn't a standard webinar registration page, it functions as a pattern interrupt
for someone coming here. People get used to seeing the same webinar registration pages
being used and they become immune to them. When they come to this page it looks a little
different. In fact, it doesn't look anything like the standard webinar registration page.
It adds a more personal approach to a standard webinar registration page by having the from
the desk of section of at the top and the about section at the bottom. This page is
great for copywriters with the body copy section here in the middle. As with all of the page
templates inside of LeadPages, this is mobile responsive so it will display correctly on
any size screen. This page can be used to sign people up for webinars, give away free
reports, videos, or eBooks and so on but as a sidenote, every single page in LeadPages
where you can collect an opt-in can double as a webinar registration page and that's
definitely the case here. It's a really interesting page that we suggest you test against your
current webinar registration pages.
Now let's take a look at customizing this page inside of LeadPages. Every element of
this page is editable so if you wanted to turns something on or off you can do that
by clicking on it, selecting hidden if you'd like to hide an element or visible if you'd
like it to be on your page. So I'm going to just turn off the preheadline as my page doesn't
need it. Also like with all of our pages, you just click on something to edit it. So
I'll add my headline text here then I'd like to add my picture to the headline section.
Now I need to add my copy to the page and this provides the meat of the registration
page. Depending on how much copy you have this can take a little bit of time to get
it all edited and formatted correctly. Add the proper integration and the list that you'd
like to add people to and then you'll also need to integrate this page with GoToWebinar
so people can register for your webinar while being added to your email list. Name the page
then save the page.
Now since we're talking about breaking from traditions, what I'd like to do is show you
how to set up a split test between a webinar registration page you already have and this
new webinar registration page that we just looked at. On my pages section, just find
the webinar registration page that you'd like to create a split test for and then once you
find the page, click on edit. Then click on original at the top. Select add new variation,
select the My pages tab and find the page that we just created. If you do have a lot
of pages what we recommend is labeling your pages by the type of page they are so that
you can easily sort them using the filter up here at the right.
Once you find it, select it. Click save and the long form webinar registration page will
now be split tested against your current webinar registration page. If you're not a LeadPages
customer, you will need to be a coder or hire a coder to make the downloadable template
below work. For nonLeadPages customers it's a bit more difficult to set up. Here's what
you'll need to do if you're not a LeadPages customer. If you're a developer, click on
the link below and opt-in to get this Long form webinar registration page and our lead
magnet delivery system will deliver it to you. Modify the HMTL and CSS using your coding
skills or the coder you've hired. Integrate it with your autoresponder, WordPress, etc.,
get your landing page code that you've generated and then finally publish the page. So these
are all the steps that you'll need to take if you're not a LeadPages customer. If you
are a LeadPages customer, you don't need to do any of this. The templates are already
waiting for you in the member's area and you could start using it there. Split test this
template and let us know your results in the comments below this video. If you're not a
LeadPages customer and you'd like to use this template, head to www.LeadPages.net to get
LeadPages.
I'm Jeff Wenberg. Have an excellent day.
