The HP SlateBook x2 is a hybrid Android device that can be used as both a notebook
and a tablet.
With this dual functionality, the SlateBook can easily adapt to fit your personal computing needs.

To turn it off, press and hold the power button again and then select Power off.
If the tablet goes into Sleep mode, touch the power button or any key on the keyboard
to wake it up.
The SlateBook uses the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system which features Google's apps
and services like the Chrome web browser, Gmail, and the Google Play Store.
Many of these apps require a Google account. To connect a Google account to this device,
go to Settings, select Add account, and then select Google.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
Some apps and settings will create notifications that will appear at the top of the display.
Select or swipe down from the top-left side of the screen to view notification messages.
Drag a notification left or right to clear it from the list, or select the icon in the
upper right to clear all.
With Android 4.2, you can swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open
the Quick Settings menu. Select one of the listed items to go directly to the settings
for that item.
While in notebook mode, you have access to a variety of features on the base, including
a USB 2.0 port, a headset microphone jack, an HDMI port an SD card reader, and the keyboard.
The base is also equipped with its own internal battery that can extend the battery life of
the SlateBook.
To charge the SlateBook, plug in the charger that came with your device to an electrical
socket, and then connect the opposite end to the base.
When the Slate is connected to the base, both will be charged together.
The SlateBook features a detachable display that can be used as a tablet. Slide the release
button to the unlocked position, and then lift up on the screen to detach it.
The tablet features a microSD card reader as well as its own headset microphone jack,
and charger port.
To return your tablet to notebook mode, line up the ports on the slate to the connectors
on the base, and then press down until it locks into place.
The SlateBook has two built-in cameras; one in the front and one in the back.
To use the camera, open the camera app in the Apps menu.
Touch the options icon for extra settings like switching to front or rear camera, brightness
and more. Touch the camera icon to change camera mode between panorama, video, and still
photo.
To record an image, touch the blue button.
The SlateBook comes with the HP File Manager app, providing you an easy way to manage files.

insert the SD card into the SD card reader.
Next, open the HP File Manager. Select SD Card on the left.
Press or click and hold to select the files you want to copy. Select Copy from the option menu. Select My Storage,
then select a folder to copy the files to. Select Paste in the options menu.
The files should now be found in the local hard drive.
