Nancy Burnham: I tell my clients now, "You know, when you don't think you have the energy.
When you don't think you have the strength. When it seems like it's too much. Just stop
and clear your mind."

Nancy Burnham: I have been in the process of making a new life since June of 2008, when
I first walked into a gym for the first time in my life.
When I was 58, I was diagnosed with two prolapsing heart valves. Two months later I was diagnosed
with asthma, low level COPD. I had been off and on of antidepressants and anxiety medication.
So, all of that mounted through the years, with the stress, and put on weight.
And I just kept telling myself, "I have to take control of my life and my health. I've
seen doctors. I've taken medication and I'm not going to do that the rest of my life."
In one year I came off of all of those medications. I lost 30 pounds; 23 and a half inches from
my body and I felt like a new person.
I want people to learn that you don't have to accept the status quo. There are times
when modern medicine is needed.
But your body is a marvelous piece of work.
If I can help one more person realize life is better, they can be golden years because
you feel more like doing and enjoying life, then it's worth it.
