I couldn't see, I couldn't make out the face of my friend that I've had for years who was
standing ten feet away from me. Not being able to see distances, that is definitely
been an issue for me. I don't read words on the TV like I used to be able to. I have to
be a lot more careful when I am driving. I wasn't able to play bridge any longer. Because
I had cataracts I wasn't enjoying life period. Let's just put it that way. You don't realize
when you're having cataracts how things get dark and dreary and your whole being is getting
darker and drearier. I am really looking forward to my surgery tomorrow. I feel like it will
return me to that state of euphoria about my vision that is so wonderful. My surgeon
is going to implant a toric lens. I look forward to the benefits cause um with the toric lenses
I may not even need glasses other than for reading. My vision this morning is just beautiful.
I can see more details. I can read without glasses. It's easy, it's quick. Once it's
done you have your vision. It just opened up a whole lot of things that I used to do.
There is nothing to fear um it's such an easy procedure. I look forward to reading again
and traveling, a perhaps going back to playing bridge. I just couldn't believe it, I mean
just, it's unbelievable. My whole being feels happier, seriously happier. I am enjoying
readying again. You know it's one of my favorite to do. I am an advocate now for cataracts
surgery, yes, because it makes a world of difference. It has for me. It's something
I should have done a long time ago.
