My name is Ruby and I live in Hope Street
and Micah helps runs it.
It's like a community and it's all different people so they're
mingled in together. You know, I've got a lot of health issues.
My son used to look after me but he,
I kept saying to myself 'He's too young'
and the police always come in and handcuff me
and take me to hospital all the time.
He finally said 'Mum, I can't look after
you any more', and that's why I ended up in here.
I don't like it, I actually love it
because of the
security I get because I always
end up in the wrong crowd all the time and
forget my medication a lot. There's
Micha team and there's Common Ground kids
there and the both of them and if you get sick or something
they ring up the ambulance and that, and they talk to people if they are going to commit suicide
or if they're down.
I need help when I'm down a lot and that,
My room is how I feel,
if it's messy I feel bad but if it's cleaned
I feel happy.
And I talk to my plants out there
They give them water all the time.
It'll be good
for the people who can't live out in
the society, it'll be good
for people who, it would help disability people
who can't do a lot for themselves.
And since I've been in here
even though things have happened
I haven't been in, back into
Mental Health where. my Mum's seen it and
she said now I can die in peace
because I know you are safe.
and the boy said the same thing.
They don't have to worry about me as much any more because
I'm in here.
You know, I've found my home at last.
