The words 'how the Open University Students Association works' appear next to the Association's logo.
We're run by students for students.
We represent the views of OU students whatever they study and wherever they live.
We have students you elect to represent your voice, at the highest level of the OU decision making structures.
We have a Board of Trustees; they're students who take full legal and financial responsibility for OUSA.
A Central Executive Committee of elected students carry out all the central decisions about our priorities and representation for students.
A network of local assemblies and central representatives, elected to work on your behalf, to improve your experience of studying with the OU.
11 Student Association Reps, who make sure that all students get a voice in all decision making and then report back on what's happening centrally.
A team of staff support the Students Association and run the elections for all the Student Representatives.
All these people are part of the democratic organisation that exists to improve your time whilst studying. We do this is many ways:
We help to set up groups and societies.
We run a charity called OUSET, the Open University Students Educational Trust.
We provide opportunities to gain skills.
We help you to meet other students and we help you to get help and support.
We can't address issues we aren't aware of so let us know what's on your mind.
