One of the most powerful features of Adaxes is the ability to automatically execute various
additional actions when an operation is performed in Active Directory. This allows you to automate
user provisioning and deprovisioning, group membership management, automatically maintain
the OU structure, and much more. For example, when a new user is created in Active Directory,
Adaxes can automatically create an Exchange mailbox and home folder for the user,
fill in some properties of the user account, send a welcome e-mail to the user, execute a PowerShell
script add this user to certain security groups and distribution lists, move the account to
the OU associated with the users department, and so on. When for instance an employee is
promoted or transferred to another department, you just need to update the Department property
of the user account of this employee - Adaxes will automatically change the group membership
of the user, move this user to a new OU, modify necessary properties of the account, etc.
Business Rules can be executed before or after practically any operation performed in AD.
Now lets use the Adaxes Web Interface to create a new user account in Active Directory.
As you can see, all the necessary operations are performed automatically by Adaxes, that
saved a lot of time. No matter what tool you use to perform an operation in AD, Adaxes
Administration Console, Web Interface, data import utility, PowerShell or ADSI script
- Adaxes will automatically execute all the necessary operations based on the rules you provided.
