Hello there unboxers! I'm Sakis Karpas, your usual host and this is the Steelseries Siberia Elite, a headset that delivers exactly what it promises: An elite listening experience.
Since this is a high-end headset from Steelseries, it comes in a special hard surfaced package.
The headset is the first thing that comes out of the box but let's leave it aside for now in order to show you the package contents.
1. A Manual along with a Steelseries sticker
Below the first paper box you'll find several accessories that enhance your listening experience and they are compatible with PC, MAC, tablets and smartphones.
2. Α 2.0m meter extension cable
3. A 3-pole x2 connector
4. A 3.5 mm 4-pole connector
5. A USB soundcard where you can connect your headset for the best experience possible
All the cables are flat which means they are tangle-free.
On to the Steelseries Siberia Elite.
First of all, we are truly impressed by the headset's design. It's certainly not a coincidence that the Steelseries Siberia Elite has won many awards already for its design and build quality.
Just like the Steelseries Siberia V2, there is no expandable headband.
A steel arc with its beaded metal finish supports an extra padded leather suspension headband which interacts with the user's head.
Although the Siberia Elite is not as lightweight and comfortable as the Siberia V2, it still provides a great amount of comfort even after a long music/gaming session.
The Steelseries Siberia Elite headset may be comfortable but it does not offer great noise isolation which was a problem of the Steelseries Siberia V2 too.
The outer part of the ear cups has some interesting design ideas.
On the left ear cup, there is a wheel that is used to turn the headset's microphone on and off.
On the right ear cup, another wheel is used to adjust the headset's volume.
The true highlight of the ear cups is ColorShift, which provides lighting on them.
ColorShift offers 16.8M color illumination and it is only activated when the headset is connected via USB.
We think that we are in love with the quality of the sound that the Steelseries Siberia Elite headset can produce.
It certainly does not reach the volume and bass levels of other high-end headsets but it offers crystal clear sound.
With a simple option available through the Steelseries Engine 3 software, you can turn the headset's stereo sound into Dolby® surround with Dolby® Pro Logic® IIx technology.
With the help of Dolby headphone technology, the headset is capable of producing 7.1 sound.
As for the headset's microphone, it is flexible, uni-directional which means that it has great background noise cancellation and it performance is satisfying.
Last but not least, the microphone has a LED light which lets the user know when the microphone is on or off.
The Steelseries Siberia Elite headset is available now for €199 in black and white.
Finally, we want to express that we are amazed and in love with the Steelseries Siberia Elite headset.
See you soon unboxers!
