Alright, now I'm going to talk about plugging in the grounds from your turn tables. If you
watched my last series on turn tables I went over this, but I'm going to reiterate it just
because in case you didn't watch my series on turn tables you'll still need to know how
to put the ground onto the mixer. So this is a ground coming from the turn table. It's
attached to the turn table itself and the reason why we ground is because there's digital
interference that you can pick up if your turn tables are not grounded and it's going
to come through as either feedback or distortion. Your records are not going to sound good even
coming through the mixer, even if everything is perfect if it's not grounded. So on the
back here you see it says GND right over here and there's the little ground symbol. You
unscrew, place your ground in. As long as it's touching it's going to be okay. And you
rescrew it in as tight as you want to do it. Just make sure it doesn't fall out and your
turn table should be grounded. If you find there is more interference you may want to
put either some cloth or some foam underneath your turn tables and that should also cut
some of the ground.
