Hi, my name is Manda Buttita and I am an executive assistant in hospital administration.
I support Jennifer Jacoby our Chief Nursing Officer.
And my role is to make a her life easier and more effective.
I’m a little bit Portlandia.
I really like and discovered a love
for making things. I do a little bit of sewing, a little bit of
knitting. I now roast my own coffee beans.
So much better when you roast them yourself.
I serve as a Community Giving Campaign Champion.
The Community Giving Campaign is an opportunity to
have, through paycheck deductions,
funds goes to one of a number of non-profits in Oregon and these
non-profits do amazing work in the community to help keep our community
vital and healthy. I teach yoga.
I’ve been teaching yoga for over seven years and
I specialize in
beginners,
therapeutics and restorative yoga. 00:00:58.210 00:01:01.800 There’s an easy button on my desk
and that was given to me as a part of one of the
past Community Giving Campaigns.
Peter Rapp likes to hit every time he walks by. And he says, “That was easy.”
I first attended Burning Man in 2004
thinking it would be a fun thing to do one year
and it drew me in. I had some friends
all dressed up as Marie Antoinette
and we gave out cake.
I work with Debbie Eldredge to coordinate our nursing annual report.
These are two previous ones. It’s our report to the community where we show
all of the great work nursing’s doing. You can't get anything done in a silo
and i really enjoy all the people I work with and fostering those relationships helps
us all the more effective.
