Hello Viewers! This is The Faustian Man
with another Japanese folklore for you.
Today we have:
The Charcoal Maker Chojya, from the Kagoshima Prefecture.
Let's begin, shall we?
Alright.
Once there were two good fishing partners called
east chojya and west chojya.
Every evening they walked along the beach together and had a good time.
After a while, their wives became pregnant.
One evening, both went to the beach as usual.
Since the tide was still high, they decided to wait for a while.
They thought they would take a nap till low tide,
so they lay their heads on a large piece of driftwood.
The east chojya fell asleep right away,
but the west chojya was not quite ready to sleep.
He saw the God of the Dragon Palace come out,
and heard the God speak to the piece of driftwood.
