Following the commercial release of the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press,
our customers will need to handle many more jobs per day.
It's a challenge. It's not an easy task
and now together with the HP SmartStream production center,
they will be able to leverage these tools
in order to handle all these jobs in a more effective and efficient way.
With the introduction of the HP Indigo 10000,
we're expecting our customers to grow the number of jobs they've been producing even more.
The HP SmartStream production center is a production management system
which addresses the challenge of producing and delivering a high volume of jobs
that are coming from automated sources.
It helps you get a first hand and very detailed look at what's happening on the floor
helping you prioritize the jobs and control the job flow on the production floor
helping you automate the whole process and make it more efficient.
With the imposition and finishing automation software,
now with the HP Indigo 10000, we have a much larger format.
So, with our auto-flow module we're allowing sheet optimization,
ganging of different jobs of different sizes and different quantities.
We're managing all this automatically to better streamline the jobs to the press,
at faster speeds and basically optimizing that large format.
We want the imposition solution to manage it automatically,
send it to the press as fast as possible and print as many jobs as possible.
In order to eliminate make-ready for short run jobs and increase turnaround time,
automating finishing through JDF is very important
and we're doing it here with the HP Indigo 10000
with partners such as Horizon.
The Horizon company is a manufacturer of finishing equipment.
Horizon Smart Stacker was developed for the HP 10000 press.
B2 size printing requires either cutting or signature folding
as the first step of the finishing process.
The SmartStacker can eliminate either cutting or signature folding
prepare for a perfect bound book
or A4 size leaflet already stuck together,
ready for shrink wrapping for example.
So, this is kind of a game changer in the process of the B2 print;
from B2 to a certain small size without manual intervention.
