I particularly like what ASHA does during better speech
and hearing month in May, because they have canned things
that we can get online, that we can take to our local media
and to our local newspapers.
So that helps us get what we do out to the public
without us having to come up with it from scratch.
Well, I have been a speech pathologist for over 30 years
and I've, of course, been a member of ASHA
for that entire time, and the thing I like most
about what ASHA has done for me is to keep me on the track
to continue to learn, because they require the continuing
education and I probably would do that anyway,
but knowing that I have to have the CEU's
to maintain keeps me wanting to learn more about my profession
and it changes all the time
and it's really an exciting place to work.
I appreciate that very much and I appreciate the leader
that we get, and I appreciate the information on the website.
Us old dogs need to learn new tricks.
