Conversations are a way to send individuals a message in The City.
When someone starts a conversation with me, I'll see it here under the Inbox tab. Back
when I configured my Email settings, I chose to receive emails form conversations in The
City, so I'll also get an email message.
If I want, I can respond to the conversation right from my email application, and my response
will post to the conversation thread inside The City. Or, I can click the link to view
the conversation in The City.
When I respond, either by email or from within The City, the conversation thread will be
moved into the Sent tab. And then back to my Inbox when someone responds. It's like
a nice little game of conversational ping pong.
If I want to start a conversation with someone, I just start typing in the name of the recipient,
then click on their picture when it comes up. And, if I want to start a conversation
with more than one person, I can just separate names with a comma.
One important thing to note here is that if you are between the ages of 13 and 18 you
are considered a minor on The City. A minor can only send and receive conversations from
the people they have tagged as friends within The City. Since friends are publicly viewable
on their profile, a parent or guardian can be aware of who their child may be messaging.
If I need to bring someone else in on this conversation, I can just add them.
And if I need to remove people I could do that as well.
