Welcome to NevadaDivorce.net. No one gets married anticipating they will want an annulment
-- but if you need an annulment, we can help. Hi, I'm Victoria Crockett, President of Nevada
Divorce & Document Services. Established in 1995, we are the first online divorce and
annulment company in Nevada and our services are guaranteed.
An annulment voids the marriage as though it did not happen. You can file a Nevada annulment
if: • You were married in Nevada;
• One spouse lives in Nevada for 6 weeks prior to filing; or
• One spouse is in the military and Nevada is their home state.
There are no time limits for filing an annulment in Nevada, but we advise filing as soon as
you know you want an annulment.
In order to file a person must have legal grounds for annulment. These include:
• A marriage that is void, for example: bigamy;
• A marriage that lacked proper consent, such as being intoxicated or mentally incompetent;
or • A marriage based on fraud or dishonesty.
Examples are: failure to live together, refusing to have children, undisclosed drug or alcohol
abuse, criminal history or financial situation. Our web site has a link with over 30 reasons
we have successfully used.
If you don't qualify for a Nevada annulment and reside in Nevada, you can file for a Nevada
Divorce. We can also process a Dominican Republic divorce that is valid for residents of many
states. See our website and other videos for more information.
There are 2 types of Annulments -- Joint Petition and Complaint.
A Joint Petition is when both parties are willing to sign the documents and agree to
the reasons. After you have notarized the papers, they are filed with the court and
are signed by the judge, usually within 3 to 4 days. Then the final paperwork, including
the signed annulment decree, is mailed to both parties.
A Complaint is when one party is not willing to sign or cannot be found. When you have
notarized the papers, we file the initial case with the Court. If your spouse can be
served we will coordinate service. If service cannot be completed, then we will do a due
diligence search, then publish in the newspaper in the county of your spouse's last known
address once a week for 4 weeks. If there is no response, the remaining annulment
papers will be filed 21 days after service or the last date of publishing and the Judge
will review the case. But if the other party contests, you may need to hire an attorney.
